ParticipantHi I have a strange fault on this washing machine.
When you switch on it’s locked in the previous programme but it does nothing.
Doesn’t even lock the door.
Unable to cancel or reset.
Managed to get it into a “demo mode” which it skips through very, very quickly and sometimes the led display goes very dim or disappears completely!
I suspect either the user interface module or the power module is at fault.
Both are quite expensive items so I’m a bit reluctant to get involved.
Anyone else had this issue and is there a way to run a diagnostics programme on the machine?Cheers

ParticipantHi Dave.
Yes checked that.
Couldn’t activate or deactivate because screen locked.
By holding temp and spin buttons it goes into demo mode which only takes about 30 seconds then says complete.
Like I’ve previously said sometimes the led display goes off completely or goes very dim.
On one occasion whilst investigating I could get it to spin and pump out but the reverts to the locked programme and screen goes blank/dim.March 10, 2025 at 11:59 pm #492335electrofix
Moderatorwell as a long shot you can disconnect as much as you can and see what happens but I think you have a board problem. not unusual on Samsung
the problem is which board
touch display board is £88 on Aswo
2nd board down below at £95 on Aswo

Moderatorcant see that its too small but assuming its the same part no I stated above
does not suprise me, dont use connect much but if they charge me more its not suprising
its mad a company wants my business but is always dearer than my other supplier and expect me to use them
