Participantiv just been to a glass fronted sandwhich chiller. it got regassed by someone else. the problem is the compressor is now very noisy. ive checked the refrigerant levels and there ok. is there a chance that it hasnt got enough oil in the compressor? can anyone help.

Cant see how it’s lost oil, even if it had a gas leak previously,probaly just a noisy or nackered comp. 😯

Cant see how it’s lost oil, even if it had a gas leak previously,probaly just a noisy or nackered comp. 😯

What’s
the compressor no and back pressure.
Presume it’s on 134a
Could be non condenseables causing the problem,you can’t be sure of what else (air/moisture etc) went in along with the refrigerant when rechraged sounds like you would have to take out the current refrigerant,pull a fresh vacuum so you know the system is ok and then recharge with refrigerant as marked on the plate.March 16, 2009 at 7:15 pm #280426PINKY

cheers fellas i will try get out all refrigerant and put on a long vac hope it dsnt need a new comp just seen the price for a replacement wot a joke for a bit of metal.
