KeymasterFirstly Great forum
I’m having an extentiin built and filling it with a kitchen.
The wife has been given some spiel about a SARENA dishwaser, they appear to be a badged product.
Does anyone know who makes these.
again “Great site”

Not a name I am familiar with, I have to confess. The built-in appliance market is an absolute nightmare. There is a huge amount of “badging” going on, with machines ranging from excellent to awful.
If your kitchen supplier cannot tell you who the actual manufacturer is, I would suggest specifiying you own – NEFF is expensive but excellent, as you would expect from Bosch; CDA is building a reputation for decent quality, mid-range appliances. If they tell you Haier – say NO!
Report back after the conversation and no doubt we shall be able to tell you more!

It’s either a Fagor or a Brandt in disguise, probably a Fagor and spares can be gotten from Dave, spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk or service in warranty from Anglo Iberian Service on 01245-320992.

Hi there.
The Sarena dishwasher is made by Elco Brandt in France.
It has ‘A’ energy, ‘A’ wash and ‘C’ drying ratings.

never mind who makes it, what you need to find out is what the service arrangements are if it should go wrong under warranty. Brandt dishwashers are often found in built in’s with Hygena/Hotpoint/dedetriech and many other names on them and are genreraly OK, but it doesnt mean that Brandt will be the service agent. Get your kitchen fitter to supply the service phone number and ring them up.

Yes they are serviced by AIS, on 01245 320992 who will advise the local repair agent.
As far as I am aware (and I’ve seen a few calls for these) they can be either Fagor or Brandt, I’d have to check but I’m 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure they can be either as I’m pretty certain that even AIS can only identify the manufacturer from the serial number. The reason being that PABL switched the supplier but didn’t switch the model number (bright huh?) so you have basicaly to entirely different machines that get repaorted as being the same. Same drill (IIRC) with the Eurolec stuff as well which, if memory serves me, is either another PABL brand or Maurice Lay.
After a while all these brand names that are just that, brands, gets a bit confusing to say the least and, we’re in the trade! 😕

The Eurolec one is still a Fagor machine, although it will be changing soon to an Elco Brandt machine. Eurolec is a Waterline distribution brand.
Maurice Lay is branded Caple and it is Whirlpool one, just like CDA.
