Scandinova fridge help

Anyone got any ideas for me to try befor I scrap this fridge.

Its a Scandinova LF6-86/S about 2 1/2 years old!

It has just stopped working overnight.

Power is on & getting to the light, but the motor doesnt seem to be activating.
Anybody also had happen? could this be the Thermostat

I have had a quick check on the rear wiring for any loose connections etc (the basic stuff) but no joy.

Plaase help if you can.

Scandinova is a Comet brand name but may well be manufactured by one of the “better known brands”.

Can you have a look inside the fridge compartment, most likely next to the salad bin and post up all the numbers you can find from the rating label.

The most common problem is thethermostat if its just the fridge not working,it will require the extra long capillary though.iIf its a drost free model then it may well be that the door hasnt been fully shut at some point in the past week or so,if it is frost free try to emty the appliance ond turn it off for 24hrs with the freezer door open and then restart it and see if it works ok.

The thermostat has now been replaced & is working great, had a small hickup as the wiers to the new stat were around the wrong way at first & sent the fidge to -10 deg!!!!!!!! VERY COOL BEER!
All fine now.
Anyone else needs to acsess the stat, take off door with 2 top alen bolts, turn light shroud anti clockwise to remove, take 3 plugs from front top of fridge, need a deep alen key (5mm I think it was, same as door hanger).
This then pulls away to reviel stat & wiring.

Could you tell me where you got the thermostat for your unit?

The fridge on my Scandinova frost free fridge freezer has stopped working – again. Last time it was the thermostat and I’m guessing that it’s gone again and I’d rather fit it myself than spend out on a repair guy.
