I recently got a microwave grill oven all in one thing to repair very old unit and filthy greasy burnt and chewed cable you name it had to wear gloves just getting cover off

anyway I found it was dead when plugged in so I removed the cover and took a look at the main fuse only to a mouse looking back at me :eeek:

put cover back on and put the microwave straight outside the shop to wait for customer to collect had to tell them it was scrap :snigger:

An electrican I know came into the shop said he rewired the house the microwave came from and it was filthy never cleaned enough to make anybody sick. After seeing that mouse looking back at me im now scared to open the dam microwaves 😳 that put me off my food all day.

Next day the girlfriend says she spotted a rat leaving mc donalds 😯 now where am I going to eat ? Is no wear safe anymore?

    Scary microwave?

I got a domestic one from a pub kitchen, a few weeks back. Everything inside had a thick coating of black grease…

Back in the 70s I was a TV engineer working in a shop, we repaired all sorts of brown goods, the owner of the local kebab house came in with a broken eight track player(remember them?) every week we would get our lunch from his shop, until the day we opened his eight track player.
The breakdown was caused by a lots of cockroaches in the working parts squashed to pulp by the motor and drive belt, as I unscrewed the case the buggers were running everywhere :eeek: it was like a scene from a hammer horror film, I’ve never eaten a kebab since.

problem is people take these places for granted they dont see what goes on in the backs of cafe’s or takeaways i have fixed many of the pub microwaves all very good conditon. worst one was for a bedroom company in bilston in there staff canteen the inside of the door has its protective plastic coating pealing off and the metal behind was all rusty took me ages to strip it and respray the thing 😥 and then they took months to pay up.
