The dishwasher will not start its cycle and remains on the first action, which is to pump out any water. I suspect that the control unit may have failed. It has a part number TMX 88900508 D. Where can I get one of these from?

I’ll have a try for you, this model isn’t on the spares disk for some reason, which is presumably why Martin steered AireBase toward the Mother Company.

I’ll email Merloni on your behalf if you haven’t already done so 😀

    Dave.

Exactly that reason Dave 😉 Could possibly even be another ‘clone’ from someone else’s stable 😕

    Reply from Merloni for you:

this model number doesn’t come up on our uk system so I spoke to technical who located it on the italian system.
The model number you quoted doesn’t have a control unit but it does have a timer (C00048216) he did say that there were model numbers identical to the above but with various numbers on the end.

I checked the price out and it’s £130.73 inc VAT, plus £4.50 postage.

I would recommend that you ask an engineer to diagnose for you given the price of the part.

    Hope this helps.

    Dave.
