I suspect that the thermostat has gone faulty as where ever i set the control knob to the fridge stays at around 6-9degrees C although it does click on and off- or do you think it could be another fault
if so is it fairly easy to fit new thermostat?and can you supply
the serial no of fridge is 20000805777
    many thanks

The thermostat for that fridge is here.

But, in all honesty, it doesn’t sound like a stat problem. It sounds more like a ventilation and subsequent overheating problem or, the fan motor faulty giving the same sort of symptoms or a compressor failure.

thanks for reply i do not think it is over heating as there is plenty of room under the plinth and fridge has been there for about 10 years
have cleaned up dust and fluff with vacuum
fan seems to run fine as does the compressor
    still the same problem

If the compressor isn’t pumping as it should, it will create those symptoms.

    Hi

HAs it got a layer of frost approx. 5mm thick on the back wall ?

If it has then the most common problem is that the evaporator plate has detached from the liner which makes the appliance un repairable.

Re: schreiber apm 6321 integrated fridge

    problem solved
i found an article on how to test thermostat
basically bypass the thermo and see if compressor runs continuously which it did and temp went down to nearly zero
fitted new thermo now working perfectly
