KeymasterMoved into our new house about 10 months ago which had a MFI fitted Kitchen with above mentioned built in fridge.
We have never been to happy with the fridge as it has never really kept anything cold, not to mention that the work surface on top at the back is always warm and the cuboard next to the fridge is to warm to store chocalate in, if we turned the fridge up then a large block of ice would form on the back, and to really make you laugh the fridge would actually melt chocolate if we put it in the bottom crisper section next to where i guess the motor is.
We have just had a bit of a shock with how much we are out on our electric bill (pay monthly DD) house is same as our old house but has been extended – thought paying an extra £15 a month would have covered it – but we owe £300 !!!!!!
This could be a combination of two things – new digital meter (old house had the old style meter) but also i have noticed that this fridge is constantly running – the motor hasnt been off once in the last two weeks when ever i checked – have now turned the fridge off and in 1st day we are 5 kw less for the same day last week (sunday lunch cooked both days 🙂 )
Does it sound like this fridge is for the knackers yard ? from reading other posts it sound like it is – there is no ventilation at the bottom of this fridge – not sure how old it is but dont thin its that old (can ask previous owners – if it is knackered and MFI fitted the fridge do you think i will have any come back on them ??
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post.

It’s definitely a system failure, either compressor or gas shortage, either way it’s a fairly expensive repair, so it may be worth considering a new one.
As far as any comeback goes, it’s highly unlikely to be honest, check the age, you’ll find that on the rating plate beside the salad bin, the first few numbers of the serial number will indicate that.

Thanks for the quick reply – i was guessing as much and had already started looking at a replacement – thinking of going Bosch.
Number on plate are: 2001 2902 825 – im guessing this means it was built in 2001.

Sorry to resurrect an old thread.
I wonder if anyone can help, please?
We have an MFI fitted kitchen, with a APM6325 larder fridge. The bottle shelf has broken off, taking part of the door with it.
Pricing up a replacement door, bottle shelf, and hinges on this site comes to about £150 plus P&P, so it may be more economical in the long run just to replace the fridge (even if it is twice the price or so).
Can anyone suggest a suitable replacement model, please?
