Schreiber APP 6403 Fault diagnosis HELP REQUIRED

Hi there,
Has a SCHREIBER APP 6403 integrated freezer.

Last night there was a smell like nail varnish (Acetone) coming from the freezer.

The control lights started flickering.

Now we have a slight flicker from the control panel and NO COOLING.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Sounds like something has burnt out, without some investigation it is nigh on impossible to guess at what.

There’s nothing in it that would give off a smell without burning out, basically a dead short other than what you put in it.

The electronic control module will have burnt out.
It is sometimes due to condensation in the control box or water has been spilt on the kitchen worktop and run into the control box.
This needs to be inspected to find out the cause before a new control module is fitted.
