Have you got any power going to the compressor?

Hi, thanks for your reply, the answer is yes and no, I will try and explain as i see it,
the start relay assembly plugs into the side of the compressor, there are three connections, one goes to neutral, one goes to a connection on the side of a white unit, and one is connected to a terminal (1) on the round brown switch/relay unit, the other side of this unit is connected to another terminal (2) with two wires which go back to the PCB.
a voltmeter lead is connect to the terminal (2) with the two wires, and the other voltmeter lead connected to the Neutral connections.
with the power switched on there is a reading of 240volts, the voltmeter lead is then connected to the terminal (1) still reading 240volts.
after a short time there is a click, and there is no voltage reading on terminal (1).
Hope this makes some sense. 😥

Bad news I’m afraid – your compressor (motor) is seized and will require replacement. This is not a diy repair and if you decide to do it will cost you big bucks. Perhaps its time to call a halt?
