I have this freezer and have not had a problem with it, except I am curious what the cavities under the bottom freezer basket are for: is this freezer automatic defrost? If so why do I have to defrost it? The instruction booklet I got with the freezer is not very helpful at all.

This freezer is not auto defrost and you have to turn it off to defrost it.
Do not use anything sharp to try to defrost it it is best to just leave the door open and let it defrost.
The cavity at the bottom is for extra storage but is usefull to collect the defrosted water so it does not flood the kitchen.
Once defrosted wipe dry and turn on the power. Then turn the fast freeze button for a couple of hours to turn of the alarm.

I can’t get the bottom drawer removed to access to the water in the tray!! Can you help by telling me how to remove it?

Schreiber Freezer APP6403

I needed to defrost my freezer so I turned the thermostat to off and left the door open etc. After it defrosted and I cleaned/wiped it out I turned the thermostat to the highest setting and closed the door. I checked a couple of hours later and noticed nothing had happened and all the lights on the display panel were off. Has it gone to Freezer Heaven? 😥 can anyone advise? Thanks Allison.

first check the socket is working and switched on
