Schriber APP 6403 only works on super freeze

I have a problem with this freezer. It will not work unless I keep it on superfreeze. The alarm is sounds after 3 hours when it comes of superfreeze. I defrosted the unit yesterday and thought it wssn’t going to start up but after about an hour on superfreeze I could here the motor start. I have now switched off the superfereeze and it is giving the warning sound.

1 thing to note, when I open the door to inspect the inside, when i close it I hear a hissing sound and the door seal seems to be sucking closed (It takes some force to open the door when it hisses)

Any help is much appreciated.

What we need to establish is – is the motor running on fastfreeze and is the temperature going down to about minus 18C over the 3 hour period. Once I have this info I can give you a more exact response.

The motor is running on fast freeze and the temperature is dropping (to what I do not know).

I just checked the freezer and the temp warning was flashing and it seemed to have defrosted slightly. I opened the doore and moved the themostat dial and it kicked into life.

I have bought a new machine today. Ex display at B & Q for £140.
