ParticipantEvery week we have 100s of washing machines for scrap
I want to remove the motors for reconditioning
If i log the make are model of the machine is it possible to find the part number of the motor and what other machines the motor will fit
Most make we have coming to us are
Hotpoint
Indesit
Bosch
zanussi
We also have a mountain of washing machine motors at the moment and we dont know what washing machines they have come from is their any way of finding out? They all have the manufacturers labels on them.May 8, 2011 at 8:00 pm #350856blokes

I have just read your post about the washers you are scrapping for motors i would be interested in buying them from you as a raw non functional appliance for refurbishment we usually buy between 20 to 40 items a week and our current supplier is struggling to keep up
you can call me on 07843250268

I wouldn’t hold your breath for a reply, paulwma appeared out of the blue a while back with this post, then suddenly started asking very basic technical questions re repairs. He then registered under another username, also asking very simple questions that anyone with any real skill or experience would have known the answers to.
When asked for his trade references they did not pass muster so trade access was denied and one of his two usernames was deleted.
Our/my best guess was that he or a cohort was/is in the scrap business and decided he would try and make some money on the repair side with little or no idea what he was doing. If you read his posts which are all in the public forums you will get some idea of his skill levels. 😉

Thanks for letting me know. I was in the scrap game when I started this game but got myself proper training before starting and my dads been in this game for 25yrs. But I have also come across people who actually have no clue.
