We’ve just had a Stoves fan cooled double built in gas oven installed and the noise level is too intrusive – it sounds like a microwave oven running constantly.
The control panel is faulty so the oven is going back under warranty and we are now researching an alternative less noisy oven.
Does anyone have recommendations for a fairly quiet built in fan cooled gas oven? The Hotpoint DY230G has a noise spec of 50dB – our Bosch Classixx dishwasher has a spec of 52dB and we would not want that running for several hours whilst having a chat in the kitchen.
One thing that’s different about the Hotpoint compared to the Stoves is that it specifies leaving air vents at the base and top of the cabinet, the Stoves only has air inlet and outlet at the front of the oven itself. (And thanks to moderator for suggestion about starting new topic)
Thats not really known for being a noisy oven.
And the stoves also requires ventilation from behind the oven, they are outlets on the front to keep the control panel and doors cooler, the cooling fan on the back sucks air into the appliance to cool the doors and cp and also to feed the burners with air.
