It needs a 48 hour defrost, then the repair kit fitting to it.

ParticipantTh way the evaporator sits means that if it ices over , it practically glues itself to the lower cover and is a bugger to remove. If its given a real good defrosting then the cover will slide forward quite nicely. Just remember that there is a defrost heater on the cover and the connector will need to be unplugged from the rear wall connector prior to pulling the cover completely away .
If this is an older model , Pre-mid 2007 , then it may need the evaporator cover plate fitting and a new module . These were the 2 main components that needed replacing for the main modification that these applainces had early doors.

as you said evap assy came forward no probs … uncliped defo wires
fan unit had slipped forward so i pushed it back dropped a bit of super glue on end of shaft , hopefully that will do it ..
advise cust may need mod kit if fault re-occurs ..

I know it’s an old thread but I’ve got one of these to look at. It’s an earlier 06 model. What’s the mod kit for? Any details please? This one sounds like a fan/over icing fault.
Thanks
