    Hi

I have ordered a new heat exchanger cover from seimens (part no. 267631) as I damaged mine while trying to clean the inside of the heatexchanger. The origonal cover appears to be heat welded on to the heatexchanger, so my question is does anyone have experience of fitting these covers and what is the best way to do it ?

    Model number SE25A91GB/17
    Heat exchanger part number 215761.

    Thanks

    Mark

Its not welded on at all but heat from the stainless tub has stuck it on fast. When replacing the Heat Exchanger it is best to order the 267631 Cover as well (for what it costs!)

    Re: Seimens heatexchanger cover fitting

is the cover sealed to the heat exchanger, as it did appear to contain water when I removed the heat exchanger, or am I getting my parts confused ?

    Cheers

    Re: Seimens heatexchanger cover fitting

I have to question why one would ever need to clean the inside of the heat exchanger anyway?

That apart, in your case I guess then it best to order both Heat Exchanger (215761) and the Cover (267631)…problem sorted

    Re: Seimens heatexchanger cover fitting

in the top left hand corner compartement of the heat exchanger I seem to have alot of black gunk, which I was trying to flush out clean by pumping water through it, unfortunatly the back cover (thin blue plastic sheet) of the exchanger split as I trying to get water to flush out the chamber.

As soon as I done it I had that stupid feeling of why did I do that !!.

But I am not clear if I only need a cover or a complete heat exchanger ???, clearly there is a siginficent price difference between teh two.

    Thanks for the advice

You will have to order the heat exchanger 215761, as far as I am aware the back blue sheet is factory sealed to the labyrinth.

The ‘cover’ 267631 is a protective sheet to prevent the heat exchanger sticking onto the black coating of the tub.
