ParticipantWonder if anyone could help me? I have to replace both my washer dryer and dishwasher. They are both semi integrated and I have a budget of £900 and someone who can fit them for me. Just not sure what to get. I know there are only 2 options for the washer dryer and will have to go with the cheaper one (managed to get that down to £450) (and yes I know I’d be better off with the other but I just can’t justify the money) but the dishwasher is a mystery to me.
Any thoughts? What’s best in terms of quality and value? Where’s best to get one and should I be asking anything special when buying one?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hiya,
Semi-integrated is now an absolute nightmare. 🙁
CDA used to do one until recently but even they’ve stopped it now. I guess the volumes were too low to justify them.
Don may be able to offer some more advice in the morning but so far as I know, there’s pretty much nothing available these days. What you could do is get shot of the doors and get something that fits with the kitchen instead, depending on your cabinets, the likes of the Smeg stainless machines may work okay.
Hope that helps.

K.That about sums up the semi integrated market I`m afraid 😥 . Whirlpool are about the only mainstream supplier that I know of. The washer dryer is the AWG320 and the dishwasher is the ADG644 both in white finish. They also stock a brown and stainless steel dishwasher fascia but only the white in the washer dryer. As Ken says the market is very small nowadays.
Another option you could do apart from freestanding as Ken suggested, would be to change the doors to the full length ones if still available and go for fully integrated appliances where the choice is greater.

Thanks for this guys. Changing the doors isn’t really an option, we inherted the kitchen when we brought the house and although it’s in great condition it’s probably about 10 to 15 years old. Must have been v.quality though as you can’t tell. We also don’t want to have to change all the doors just yet as the kitchen is fine.
Will have a look at the Whirlpools but am I being thick then as I’ve looked at Dixons, Boots, Comet, etc and they have dishwashers called semi integrated like the Indesit DVG622, Hotpoint BFV620X and Neff S44E43. Think there was a Bosch too but can’t find it. Are these not the same thing? 😕 Now I’m totally confused! Help!!!

Yes they are all semi integrated dishwashers. Only trouble is none of those produce a semi integrated washer dryer to match only fully integrated 😉 . Whirlpool was the only mainstream brand I could find that did both, of course if you are not bothered about the “look” then yes you can mix the brands.
The Bosch models are the SGI45E series and the SGI45M55GB.

Thanks, thought I was having a very thick moment there!!
I’m happy to mix brands as I’m having a white panel whirlpool so as long as the other is a white panel too it shouldn’t look too bad. If it were up to me anyway I’d rip the doors off and put free standing but Hubby wants integrated. He just doesn’t seem to get that its a pain as I have to have 2 doors open will I dry the machine not one and you just end up banging into the thing all day!!!! 👿
Anyway I take it that the Bosch is best then? Make sense as we inherted a Bosch with the last house and it was great! We could trace it 10 years and it was still working fine when we passed it on! Wish I brought it with me now.

Bosch is still good 😉
