Haynes manual describes 3 methods of sensor drying:
Traditional thermostats which at a certain fixed temp simply turn off current to timer/heaters
Thermostats on inlet/outlet giving comparitive temp diff readings to microprocessor which decides when to turn off heaters/drying programme
Drum mounted electrical contacts which measure dampness of clothes by the electrical resistance
What I want to know is how common are these methods? / are any obsolete/not used? as some things in Haynes are virtually never seen such as vented washer dryers.
What would be the method used on Hoover Nextra 6 washer dryers?
cheers
