ParticipantAssistance please!
Am currently living in Germany and bought a new AEG F80850 (911 232 625 00) about 4 months ago. Up to now have been very happy with the machine!
Yesterday, I am informed by the wife, it blew the RCD on the main fuse box that controls the electrical goods phase of the house. When reset, the machine came up with a red screen and Service Code i30.
Symptoms are:
When reset, OK. Select any program and it starts by draining. This doesn’t stop and eventually after between 15 – 60 secs the error screen comes up.
The local ‘service’ centre with typical Teutonic efficiency cannot come out before Fri and will charge a fortune if it is deemed to be our fault and not a guarantee issue.
Before I call them out would appreciate any clues as to what this service code means, and indeed if there is a way to reset the machine! Try the simple things before going onto the potentially expensive ones! Although I don’t believe that my chief dishwasher user would have done anything to the machine, the neighbour suggested that if they can blame you for it they will and they charged him over €150 in call out fees and labour for a similar case he had!
Many thanks indeed.

The flood protection system has been activated, causing the inlet valve to be deactivated. There will be a reset procedure for the valve in your users book, but given the “flashbang” occuring you may well be best to wait for the engineers.
Note that this info is based on the UK version, I can’t call up the German PNC number.

Regards,
Penguin45.I think there may be a leak in the inlet or something. There is water on the inside of the housing which is, I guess, causing the RCD to trip.
I think I’ll leave it for the experts! Water & Power disconnected.
Thanks for your assistance!
