Should be plug and play, Sandra – no re-set procedure as far as I’m aware. Where did that info come from?

ParticipantINITIALY ALL THE FOUR FRONT LIGHTS ON THE MACHINE WERE FLICKERING , MACHINE NOT WORKING , THEN WHEN I OPENED THE TOP THE CIRCUIT BOARD HAD BURNED OUT , REPLACED THIS PART , NOW LIGHTS ARE ON SOLID , AND THE MACHINE IS STILL NOT WORKING ( BEFORE WHEN I HAD AN ENGINEER OUT, HE FLICKED THE DIALS IN SOME SORT OF ORDER , THEN SAID , ” ITS O.K. NOW I`VE RESET IT …… AND CHARGED ME ??????????

No. I suspect you have been misled……
After the repairers visit, did the machine work at all? The electronics are notiously unrelable on these, but even so, you should have some sort of warranty on the repair. Was the engineer a Servis agent, or was this a repair through an independent?
I realise this isn’t going to immediately solve the, er, foundation garment problem, but I suspect that you have some sort of redress here.

Just to make life interesting there are three different boards listed for this machine. Can you let me have the serial number for the appliance which is on a label in the drain filter flap

ParticipantAPPARENTLY THIS MACHINE UPDATED ITS CIRCUIT MODULE , SO I HAD TO WAIT AN EXTRA WEEK UNTILL MY CORRECT MODULE COULD BE SENT TO ME …. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE TO THE MODULE THAT ARRIVED ,WAS THAT THE NUMBER ON THE FRONT ENDED WITH -02 INSTEAD OF 01 . IT FITTED PERFECT , BUT AS I SAID ALL THE LIGHTS ARE ON , BUT THATS IT ….. SERIAL NUMBER ( NOT MODULE NUMBER ) IS 20042710881-010077204-01 . I REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP OFF YOU GUYS X OH THE GUARENTEE IS OUT OF DATE , AND IT HAD BEEN WORKING FINE SINCE THE LAST “REPAIR”

Correct module is 546071000 if the one fitted is otherwise you have got the wrong one. It is not a Janus machine

ParticipantThe module I bought from E-Spares after giving them every number i could find on the machine and circuit board …. it cost me £97-00 . …. i`m hoping to return it, as I think this repair could work out too expensive . seen a hotpoint one in friends catalogue for £249-00 , so going to order that …. but as a woman I must say …. at least I did try … Thank you all for taking the time to answer my call for help , its so nice to know that there are still some gentlemen out there ,willing to help a damsel in distress xxxxxx 😉

One final post then – look at the ISE range before you buy the Hotpoint 🙂
