My mother in law has an old machine washing machine called a service quartz+ model 6000 series has stopped working and has an F6 displayed. The instruction manual states ‘Heating circuit problem’

Can anyone shed any light on this and whether it is worth fixing or how expensive it would be to fix.

The old yin swears by the machine and it’s like a loss in the family.

Thanks in advance for any advice or help. Cheers JD

Great little machine – they don’t build ’em like that any more……..:D

It could well be a heater but the thermal overload incorporated in the heater unit is probably the culprit. They usually fail when the pressure bottle (water level control) gets blocked and the heater comes on without sufficient water to cover it. The heater and cut out are one unit and should still be available. Also the heater wiring would tend to burn and break off; so just fit a new tag.
(If the heater has failed and a new one is fitted, be sure to check the bottle before switching the machine on to test).

Power off before any inspection, :plug:
