I have a service washer/dryer M9813. The electronic Module board (H8.1 type) was blown out so i bought a replacement, fitted it and reset the
therm. stat. button located at back of machine on top of heater
exchange unit. Problem is everything works except the dryer. Now the
funny thing is the heater exchange/heating element works (it gets very
hot) but when you stop the dryer cycle and open the door the inside is
only cool and theres a horrid smell. I’ve stripped down the machine
directly after a dry cycle run and the smaller motor/blower is red
hot. There is a 4micro farad capacitor which sits next to the motor and
i’m wondering if this is were my problem is???
    Many thanks.

nah, its more likely to be blocked with fluff in the condenser, needs airflow to keep the elemst at a safe temperature.. the condenser is the plastic tube from the base of the fan unit to the drum…

be very careful, lots of sharp edges, and tightly fitted parts

    safety first… it hurts!

oh, and plug out of course!!

Have checked and tested motor and capacitor. Have noticed that the blower which is directly on the back of the drum has its spindle stuck and will not rotate. But to get at and remove this i need to first remove the drum flywheel. I have tried using an allen key (is it conventional when removing allen bolt…anticlockwise??)

    Thanks.

    Hi

You need a new air duct cover P#720256100 comes complete with fan.
The screws can be a pig to remove and duct needs to be be resealed on reassembly. Also make sure you clean out all fluff.
