ParticipantJust booked a call from a customer, who said zanussi wouldn’t attend without the bulk of the callout paid up front . £60 callout,£50 paid on booking type thing.
Anyone else heard of this ? Or maybe its just somebody in a bad mood ?July 23, 2009 at 9:49 am #292945Alex

I’m glad you put a Question mark on the title bar.
I’m a Service Force agent, I have never heard of such a thing, and would never apply it!
It is not Electrolux or S/F policy to work in that manner, unless it is a local thing, or more likely there is history where the particular customer has let them down.
However, the customer may have been transferred to D&G (Inkfish) and they will try & flog an insurance cover and take c/card details up front.
Is it possible to find out the facts in this case?

Its True Bristol Branch any way, Customer just phoned for 2 appliances one dishwasher and washing machine.
They demanded £50 up front per item and then failed to turn up for appointment.
Customer then cancelled the call and they initially refused to refund the amount, then said they would charge her 2.5 {e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} admin until she read them the riot act 😆
Then got full refund.
She then called me and I charged her £45 +vat both items + parts. Job done. washing machine was only blocked conditioner hole.

I have had a few jobs lately, where customers have called SF for under guarantee work.
I had one customer with a sealed drum with an object in, they point blank refused to attempt to repair it. They did not even say if we find an object when its apart then you will be charged XXX, they just walked away!!
If independant how can they afford to turn down work?
Who cares; if they can’t be bothered to repair it then more business for us.
Customer gave them what for, said never buy zanussi again, picked up the phone after looking on the net and purchased ISE. 😀
She even gave me her machine which I did offer to repair first before selling new one; she just wanted shot of it.
It took 5 minutes located small screw front drum, luckily no damge.July 24, 2009 at 4:40 pm #292950lee8

Simple.
They don`t get paid for carrying out work not covered by the guarantee.
Its not Electrolux responsibility to swallow the costs involved in repairing machines customer are too stupid to look after.
Most ServiceForce agents either walk away or invoice with lies.

Indesit have been doing it for a couple of years now, a right little money spinner because most of them are converted to an insurance on top.
