    When I plug in my washer the light comes on to indicate power. If I press anything like start or turn the dial the RCD in the house blows. I have disconnected the motor and it still does trip out. I think the door thing looked abit black. What can be causing the RCD to trip. Its not the extension cord have checked this. Many thanks

    If the door lock has blown there is a good chance it has damaged the power module.
    Switch off power before checking.
    A model number would be useful. 😆
