I have a 4 year old Servis washing machine that has been making strange noises for a little while, and now the washing is soaking wet, even after a fast spin.

I’ve had the back off, and the belt had come off. I have re-fixed it, but the pulley doesn’t seem to line up with the motor, which means the belt is pulled towards the back of the pulley, and I guess will eventually come off the back of the pulley. The pulley and belt started off with the belt flat on the pulley, but after one spin the belt is squashed up against the back of the pulley at 45ยบ.

While the fast spin is on, the machine sounds like there is a penny loose in the drum, but on checking afterwards the drum is empty.

Any help will be REALLY appreciated!

Sounds like the drum shaft bearings have failed. Check the drum for up and down movement (loose). Power off before going inside :zap: . Check out Repairs@ or directories for an engineer in your area.

    Regards
