im told that its a neutral fed machine???? what does that mean?

I feel a bit silly suggesting this but you didn’t say, so what about wall socket, plug, mains cable and interlock?

    Re: Servis

was there any damage visible on original pcb?also the small top pcbs can fail on these giving this fault as well.

    Re: Servis

i had this if the machine is dead no power.
i spoke to an engineer who did contract work for servis. He told me to repair R1 or R2 on the control panel. It worked for me

oh yeah i checked the plug it wasn’t molded.
i had 230 from the suppressor and i put a new door lock on first thing.
i had 240 to the board and from the board i didnt check the display board as i didnt
think that would effect the machine being completely dead.
i think it was a servis m 6614 i was assisting on it.

    You didn’t answer robinsonrobo’s question though. 😕 : –

Any visible damage on the power board you changed would almost certainly cause damage to the programme board as well. Especially so if there’s damaged tracks associated to the motor. 😉

R1 and R2 are the main resistors on that board and if either was faulty on the old board they surely can be OK on the new one you fitted so I wouldn’t concern yourself over that issue. Clearly not the fault in this case I shouldn’t think?

Neutral fed machine means that it’s components are fed directly back to neutral and therefore only switched on the live side. (IIRC?)

    HTH?:D

    aahhhh i see!!!
no not a thing visable on the old board no tracks or burns on the board i checked for lose wires on all the looms too and connection blocks.
i did an insulation test e-l e-n and got 350M ohm

Can’t say I’ve heard the expression but I have heard of machines “switched in neutral” meaning the opposite of having all the switches on the live side, which I think is the usual way of doing things; although these days who knows?

Be sure to check all the usual places, what i mean is, i went to a dishwasher ( aeg ) last week, customer said it hasnt worked since 2003 when they moved in, although she told me the last tenant assured her it was working .

First thing i checked was the fuse spare associated with it, there was no fuse in, put in a fuse machine worked fine.
“dam” she said “i been washing up for the last six year for the sake of a fuse”.
