Servis BFC 371 Oven Problem

We have a Servis BFC 371 model oven. The oven’s stopped heating up although the grill is still working. Four years ago I’d a similar with the same oven and it was sorted out by changing the fan element, see the following forum topic:

However, this time I’m wondering if the problem might actually be with the oven thermostat but then would the grill still work if the thermostat is broken? The reason I’m considering the thermostat is that I had a “blonde moment” on a bad day and put parchment paper under bread on a baking tray and returned fifteen minutes later to find the edges burned away, some of them being just under the thermostat.

If it is the thermostat can you give me a link to the relevant part so that I can buy it?

Hi Stephen,

I’m not familiar with that particular model but, if the grill is controlled by the thermostat that also controls the oven then no, the grill wouldn’t work either if the stat was gone.
