M6050W The machine works fine but for the last few washes it smells of burning coming from the back (no smoke just stinks) on anything other than a cold wash.
I first noticed a few months ago that on all cotton washes it wasn’t controlling the temp correctly ie mega hot on a 40. So switched to quick washes now the problem has come back mega hot water on a quick wash accompanied now with the smell. The only wash it will work on is a cold. I’m guessing it’s something to do with it’s temprature control but not sure which part that is or how much it will cost can anyone help me out?

Will it be cheaper to buy a new one as it was only a cheapo model? It’s 3-4 years old. Thanks

There is an electronic board in the top rear right corner. They have a very bad habit of burning the terminals.

Power off if you’re going to have a peek……….
