Servis Fridge Freezer M7065

I’ve had the Servis M7065 for just shy of 4 years and I’ve come home tonight to find the things packed up. There is power to the fridge light and control panel but nothing from the compressor. I’ve had the power off for a couple of hours to see if that would reset a thermal cutout but no joy.

I am guessing that the problem is one of the following:-

Thermostat
Compressor
Coolant Leakage
Thermal/overload protection
Capacitor (if fitted)

The compressor has been running almost constantly for the last few days and we often find that items left towards the back of the fridge start to ice up if left for more than a day or two.

If anybody has any ideas they would be gratefully received as I really can’t afford shelling out £300+ for a new one at the moment.

If the compressor is COLD the most likely fault is the electronic module.
If the compressor is hot and not running then most likely compressor faulty.
Both faults are not cheap to repair.
So maybe better to consider a new fridge freezer.

Thanks for the reply Samuri.

On the electronic module there is a squat black cylinder with a couple of brass terminal posts visible. Is this a capacitor? I just want to be sure before I start checking the connections/components as I don’t want to get a big shock.

Sorry I cannot help you with your problem lardy2333,but I have the same fridge freezer.My problem is the automatic defrost has stopped working yet the freezer is working ok…….any help would be appreciated on how to solve the problem … :
