servis m 3015 a module blown

hi guys i have the above wash m/c with a burnt out electronic control module owner tells me it was tripping the rcd before it stopped working does anyone have any experience of replacing a module and all being ok afterwards its just that the module is a bit expensive over here , i have tried whitegoods spare parts but none is listed , thanks a bunch

There is usually another fault to cause the module to fail e.g. motor or heater failure. I would trace wires from the burnt section of the board to the likely culprit. A megger test would be useful for insulation tests between motor brush terminals and motor case, heater terminals and heater case etc.

couldnt find anything wrong with motor or pump , she decided to splash out on a new machine thanks phidom
