My old dears tumble dryer is as noisey as hell, I’ve done a little bit of investigating, I removed the drum belt from the motor and the drum revolves quite quietly, but turning the motor spindle feels lumpy to say the least so I assume the motor bearings are probably shot.
My questions are:-
Can I replace just the motor bearings if so can anyone help me out with the bearing sizes, or am I looking at a complete new motor, also does anybody know where I can find a supplier of these motors as I’ve searched the UK web without success.
…for the price for a motor, which is easily obtainable, but pretty darn expensive. That’s what Servis do! Cheap machines, with expensive spares 🙁 (They need to get the money back somewhere)

If you have not please check the fan has not fallen off, there are two types used black or white , The black one used to fall off and is fitted with a captive nut over brass fitting on fan (11mm socket required).
