Servis M3114 – starts agitate/rotate then cuts out and idles

I wonder if anyone can help me out there.

Ive got a problem with a Servis M3114 washing machine and im trying to find any wiring diagrams / circuit schematics to have a go at fixing it – basically on starting to spin it cuts out and idles thru the rest of the program. Its controlled by an Elmarc 546021501 DMPU board which appears to be ok from visual inspection tho im not sure of the circuit configuration so I havent powered the board up to test it.

I initially thought it may be a failed tacho coil, so I checked it and followed the trace back along the PCB and it seems ok and generates a voltage when the drum is rotated. Ive also checked the heater coil and it reads 30ohms. The two power resistors look ok also. I’m guessing that the board is still working as its still draining etc. at the end of programmes etc. – it just seems unable to start agitating then does nothing and idles like its aborted the program.

Does anyone out there have any information / wiring diagrams / circuit diagrams ? Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Earth issues on heater and motor will cause this. Logic error on pcb can do it as well. Older, cheap, poor quality appliance – move on.

Found problem and fixed it with a resistor costing 1.1p
