    Hi,
I have an ongoing problem regarding the cleaning efficiency of the machine.
No problem at all with the bottom half – but the top half is very hit and miss. The glasses/cups usually have a heavy residue left after the wash cyle is completed, I have checked the spray bar is clear and rotates freely but obviously thats with the door open. There was a problem with the “inverted top hat” that is in the roof of the machine but it was replaced and that also seems to spin freely.
    Any ideas please???

    Thanks

Hi, what is the residue? If it is food etc. then it sounds like the spray arm is being stopped from rotating by something in the bottom basket, especially if it is an intermittent fault. Is your top basket at the highest.ie the bottom wheels on this basket in the runners? If not raise it and try again. If residue is not food what does it look like?

    Rob,
Thanks for the reply. Yes it seems to be food residue and usually in the inside of the cups/glasses which I suspect means it’s the spray bar not the roof mounted nozzle that’s the issue. I haven’t seen anything catching the arm and I have checked it’s clean on a regular basis. I assume it’s driven by water pressure? Should there be any sort os washer on the central mounting – there isn’t so could the water just be leaking out of the middle and hence not driving the arm round? The one thing I’ve noticed is that you get spotless glasses next to dirty ones.
I’ll check the height of the basket tonight.

    Cheers

Check the rotation of the spray arm by facing it in one direction while it’s washing then open the door to see if it’s moved.

That sounds like where the problem lies.

    Dave.
