i have a servis m6160 when i turn the machine on (obviously the pump drains water out before putting in) the pump makes a screeching sound like something is catching. hubby has checked the pipes to the pump and nothing was found. the filter was cleaned at that was ok. the sound is not all the time just now and then, will i have to get a new pump? where from and are they easy to fix? the washine machine is out of guarantee too

It certainly sounds like the pump, quite a common occurance the screeching noise.
