I have a Servis M6725w washing machine.

Recently the machine has been misbehaving certain programmes will not work, either they get permanently stuck in a wash or will keep rinsing 6, 7, 8 times before the programme ends 4-5-6hours later!.

It also seems to fill for a split second when start is pressed before commencing the wash, or at the end of cycles before releasing the door.

The PCB has been replaced with a second hand fault which has improved matters to the extent I thought it was fixed but today it has run a cycle then stopped leaving water in the drum and the washing unspun. I have put it on a pump and spin and so far it has done 3 rinses!! still going!

Before I chuck more good money after bad, is there any consensus on what the fault may be?

People keep telling me there are faults that exist with this maching that will damage the PCB?

This appliance was fitted with a PCB that had to be programmed with software specific to that model number. This was done by the manufacturers service engineer & his PDA. If you fit a PCB from another Servis washing machine with a different model number your appliance will not work correctly. The easy option for you is to send the pcb to ‘EMW Electronic’ who will check out the board and reprogram it as necessary. They are on google if you want to check them out

Thanks. I did ensure that the board was for the model number.

The curious thing is that i can put it on a rinse and spin as i did when typing the above message and it fills and rinses until i get bored or die, then i put it on again and it does exactly what it is supposed to. Odd.
