Hi all, visited one of these units today, owner said it tripped the breaker – not rcd last week and will now only fill.

Stripped motor off and one brush was badly worn and a lot of carbon on motor, blew motor off and replaced brushes but no drum movement still.

It does make a dull thud when the start button is pressed before it fills – also if set to spin/drain cycle the drain pump only runs for about 10 seconds. Module looks ok as far as I can see, no obvious flashes etc.

    Any ideas ?

    cheers.

the motor has a built in toc which can go open circuit,
if you have metered the motor you will be able to check it.
    if not its the pcb.

when you check the motor plug there will be 2 wires which do not have a reading between them and any other wires these 2 wires go to the toc if all wires have a reading then the toc is ok its normally 2 wires in the middle of the plug nos 4 and 5.
