SERVIS M7055-6S circuit board?

Hi there, just found this website and hope you can help.

I have a SERVIS fridge model M7055-6S which has recently stopped working. There is no noise or heat at the back e.g. the compressor is not running. Adjusting the temp gauge knob i.e. 1-5 makes no difference.

I had a guy in to look at it who turned the knob from 2 to 3 and proclaimed it was the circuit board. He said he’d order it for me but two weeks later he still didn’t have it and said he couldn’t get it (but he could sell me another fridge). So i told him not to bother.

So now I’m wondering a) how I can check if it definately is the cirvuit board and b) if it is that, is it fairly easy to replace (I called Servis distributors and they can have one with me in 5 days)

It does point toward the PCB to be honest but should you order one and it isn’t it’s a costy excercise 😉

Check repairs@ for an engineer who will carry the repair throught correctly for you, or if you are certain it’s failed and need the part drop me an email to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk and I’ll arrange for you.

I’ve checked repairs@ and there’s nobody in my area. I’m therefore leaning towards doing it myself …

Can you tell me where I would find the circuit board on the fridge and is it just a case of removing and replacing plugs/connections?

The picture isn’t clear but the most likely place is under the lid, it will be wherever the buttons/lights are 😉

OK, I’ve finally got the circuit board. I swapped it with the old one and powered the fridge on. Bugger.

What seems to be happening is that it sounds as if the compressor kicks in but then a second or two later it cuts out again. As if something is triggering and cutting the power. A bit like a fuse going I guess. However, if I then unplug the fridge ,wait a couple of seconds and try again it’s exactly the same. So it’s not like it could be the fuse?

Can anyone help?

This is a definate improvement as with the old circuit board nothing happened when the fridge was powered on.

Scratch that last post – schoolboy error, I had fitted the temp guage/dial erroneously.

Fridge is now working after many weeks of frustration.
