ParticipantHello
I have a feeling I have defective control module on this fridge.
The compressor stops (correctly I believe when the Fridge Freezer reaches the right temperature) but then won’t come on again. If I tap the box that contains the module however it does comes on which makes me think it is the switch in the control module that is sticking or something like that.
I realise this is a very old model but I would still like to fix it if possible at least for the time being.
Thanks!

problem should be the white component on the board bottom right with 1.75MKP on it
part is a capacitor and it provides power to the board.
I cant see its value as it is further round out of shot

Thanks Dave
There appears to be no further information it. On the side you can’t see it just says .68/10 again.
Even if I could identify the capacitor I would be slightly wary about changing it though as I am only really familiar with low voltage circuits i.e. 12v max and certainly not mains. Do you know if there are services for this in the UK? I live in London by the way.
Thanks

Hi Dave
I contacted QER and they appear confident that they can repair it so thanks for that.
Given that the part will be away for a few days however I was wondering if it would be feasible and safe to still use the fridge by connecting the white and brown wires together (of the four pin plug) and cycling the fridge on and off using a plug-in mains timer?
This is based on the assumption that the the relay when triggered simply completes the circuit between the two anyway but of course I understand it may not be as simple as that.
Thanks!
