Check module visually. You might find signs of burning round a relay terminal. Bit of sand paper and a soldering iron will usually fix that. Check resistance of any large resistors on module. If any open circuit replace w same value. There were some offers of Servis modules in classified forum a few months back. Try a search.

Run a spin cycle with a reasonably balanced load in the drum (they don’t like spinning empty). Also try unplugging the heater then try spin again as if there is a small earth prob with it module will not spin. EMW are excellent at these modules; I’ve fitted quite a few never had a problem. Also Tony is a veritable goldmine of tech info on known faults (and things to test) on all the modules they stock. Most of all, they are quicker than Servis to supply, same 12m warranty, cheaper by loads, and if you diagnose wrongly and it still doesn’t sort the fault you can send it back for £4.70! Almost as good as a library! 🙂

Just an aside.
Servis UK only guarantee their parts for three, yes THREE months so wherever you source has to be better and EMW are the best at service and qualityJanuary 11, 2006 at 11:36 pm #160535robbra

And another thing. Servis Uk machines Do love to spin empty providing the belt is tensioned, in fact that is the best way to test them if a customer complaines of no spin,I always say if it reoccurs try it empty before calling again and also after working on A Merloni machines since 1990 I have never seen an element fault cause no spin
