Hi folks,
Great forum and website you have here.
I have performed a search on Service washing machines not spinning, search returned some 200 pages, did read most of it but i am not any wiser hence this post.We bought an old apt recently which came with washing machine in it, we would like to use it for a while till apt is sorted as there are way too many things to be gotten at this time.
Machine is Service Gem 1000 automatic, model is M330 and s/n is 971912989.
Machine was not in use for past 3 years I know that for sure. It turns on, door locks, takes water in, heats it(or takes warm water not sure as blue and red hoses are connected), dumps it(i can hear water going into sink waste pipe), it seems to complete a full program except it doesnt spin at all. Drum can be spun by hand with normal belt resistance, belt seems fine, tension fine, in fact, when I opened it up the whole machine looks brand new on the inside. It also looks good on the outside no rust at all.
So, any pointers how to investigate this further as we would really like avoid buying new one at this time till more important work in apt is sorted.Thank you
p.s any idea how old it might be?

Just to add, I have seen this post by Penguin45 however that was posted in 2008 and link provided in it doesnt seem to work
