    Hi, does anyone know where I can get replacement bearings for servis quartz XL M6012 (serial number I think is 20010218218 0102030009 01 01) (think the 20010218 must be manufacturing date since thats not too long before we bought it). Also am aware from searching for info on web that there are “metal tub” and “plastic tub” models – Ours is plastic tub as far as I can remember from last ime I had the lid off. Alternatively will bearings for other machines fit – even with a bit of metalwork !
    Servis (from the phone number on the lable on door) say can only get backplate+bearing together, but at £155, I might as well buy a new machine.

    You should be able to get a set from Dave Conway our resident fixer/supplier of spares. If you get stuck please give me a PM and I’ll send you a set but please try Dave first.
