    Hi everyone,

This may sound silly, but I’ve recently moved into a new flat which has the above model washer/dryer, and while I can wash things ok, I have no idea how to use the dryer function. There was no instruction manual provided, and apparently Servis do not make manuals available online, but charge lots of money for them instead!

Any help on how to actually dry my clothes would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Andy

    Re: Servis rainwave 1100

Appliance will only dry “half” the load, forget jeans and bulky items for starters.
Off the top of my head there are 2 dry locations on the main timer.
one is the dot after normal wash spin; the other is the same after delicate spin.
For the dryer to function in either setting you will need to make sure the “half load” button is depressed and that a dry time has been set on dryer timer. Obviously door shut and switched on.
Dont expect the same dry times as a standard full size dedicated tumble or condenser dryer.

    Hope that helps

    Greg

PS make sure you allow the 10 mins cool down at the end of the dry cycle or you will most likely make the thermal protection thermostat activate.

Re: Servis rainwave 1100 washer dryer

My washing machine seems to work perfectly well, but yesterday when I tried to use the drier for the first time in maybe a couple of years (once I’d remembered to push the half load button) it heated up the clothes, but wasn’t moving or making the normal noise, just smelled hot. I turned it off and opened the door, and water poured out. Any ideas? Has something seized up from lack of use, and is there anything I can do to unseize it? The filter is empty, and I assume the drum bearings are OK as it washes and dries OK. Thanks! Sally
