Commonest reason for no heat is the safety tripping on the heater thermostat. Press the red button, then find out why – restricted air-flow is the commonest cause. Crushed/blocked vent hose is a simple startting point.
Thank you Penquin45, upon further investigation the trip had indeed tripped and the culprit was a clematis preventing the flaps of the exterior vent from opening properly. Senior management has been informed and requested to keep her garden under control!
Oh dear, I spoke too soon, the saga continues! Having reset the thermostat it worked fine for a short while but now its only “slightly warm” at best. Please can someone tell me what the heater element resistance should be? and where I might be able to buy a new one if necessary?
