Model M9505W-1 is doing strange things. I put it on a rinse and spin and it was simultaneously filling and emptying plus the dryer fan was running but no motor action. I had a look at the circuit board and there were burnt bits on some of the edge connector pcb strips although they looked like they should be still making contact. I tinned these strips with solder and tried to trace where the wires went. They appeared to go to the motor so I checked the brushes. One looked almost new but the other was completely worn out. I fitted new brushes and tried a spin. I now had motor action with no serious sparking but the dryer fan was still going. I would have thought the dryer fan motor should be powered by the dryer timer rather than the main board but I know Servis do odd things. Any suggestions?

PCB failure probably due to motoe arcing.
