    Hi all,

My Servis M6854W washing machine is not draining out at the end of the cycle.
I’ve removed the drain pump and check it for anything blocking it and all is clear.
Is there any way to check whether it is working other than replacing it?
I’ve heard the problem might be the rear PCB that controls thepump, so I’d rather not replace the pump if I don’t have to.

    Thanks,

    had a look through that.

I’ve tested the motor using my ancient multi-meter and there is a resistance of 175 Ohms between the two terminals. If my understanding is correct, then that means the the pump should work OK as it hasn’t gone open-circuit.
    So where to look next?

Yup so could well be the PCB which, for a Servis these days is often the kiss of death.

What, not available? or not worth to cost to replace it?

    IMO, not worth the cost…

A new 8kg machine looks like it will cost at least £260 (Beko) and I don’t imagine that it would be any better built than the Servis.
£75 doesn’t seem too bad in that context.

It would if the bearings fail next week. 😉
