Servis washing machine pump

Hi all , i have a Servis washing machine – model No: M6006AL – and the pump has started to ‘screech’ . I guess its the pump bearings and have contacted the spares dept for some info on a new pump . What i’m wondering is , is it normal for this model to suffer from pump failure after only 18 months use ? The appliance itself is normally only used about 3 times a week and so hasn’t been overly used . It just seems to have failed quite early on in its life.

Yeah they go a lot but there’s no bearings in them, it’ll be grit or something in between the magnet and casing quite likely. You just need to replace it but they’re in the shop and, not at Servis’ silly price. 😉

Hang on before buying Paul – the part number is 518007600, which does not tie up to the linked part. Email number through to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk for a ruling………..
