I installed a brand new Smeg dishwasher (integrated) this morning, it went very well until I was demonstrating to the customer on how to clean the filter.
Guess what I found in the sump? A dead cockroach! If the dishwasher is a food product, I would be suing the supplier’s pants off. Luckily the customer didn’t seem to mind, had a bit of a chuckle though.
I wonder how it got in there? The thought of it crawling into the dishwasher at some italian factory makes me shudder!
The dishwasher was padded with polystyrene and shrink wrapped plastic all over.

You’ve got to hand it to the Italians, they do have a sense of humour.

Cockroaches live in abundance in Europe. Many Neff/Balay induction hob pcbs have l replaced thanks to there taste in accomodation. As common if not more than wood lice in the UK.

on a similar subject, in the 80’s we found a half eaten, mouldy baggette/sandwich inside a new, just unboxed Candy turbomatic.
