KeymasterNon-subscribers can buy from it at trade.
Only subscribers can advertise using it.
Fair or not?
No charge to put product on there but we may have to put some kind of limit in place on the amount in one go, like a max of 10 products or something as it is time consuming to do it.
I think we need to try to get some enthusiasm built up on this as it will inevitably lead to more of the guys looking at the site more often and therefore they’ll all be more informed. It also will aid to spread the word a bit I think and that will, in turn, help us with the network.

Yes agreed.
10 products per user should be more than enough, when they sell an item, another can be added etc seems fair.
It’s a shame that users can’t add their own products, but that would mean giving everyone admin rights to the shop which would not be a good idea 😉

I had a good idea today, as and when people (public) ask about spares in the forums, rather than just give them the info, we can add the product to the shop quite quickly then give them the direct url to the product.
Hopefully they will then buy it straight away while they are still on the site, they will inevitably return to see the reply when they recieve a reply notification anyway 😀
So, when the shop goes live, we can try and encourage the guys that help with spares info to do this and pass the info back to site admin before posting a reply.

Kev, I know it’s a PITA but you’ll need to take a photo of each part and let me know the part number for each one.
Failing that, a lot of the common parts may well already have a photo somewhere on another website or Connect’s DVD 😉
I can put them on the shop for you no probs, I’ll list all the relevent model numbers for each part also as I’ve found a handy spares supplier’s web site (Washvac) that does this for me 😀
