I just (well about two hours ago) decided to have a quick look to see how much a Whirlpool heater element for a Bosch WTA3000GB tumble dryer would be.
    Masterpart £18.10 + £4.95 + vat
    Connect £18.45 + £5.95 + vat
    Seme £16.25 +£6.95 + vat
    Qualtex £27 something + etc.
Ebay typically £21.95 + £5.99 delivery (inc. vat)
    and
Amazon (“marketplace”) £17.75 + £3.70 delivery (inc. vat)

    Oh and Bosch. £86 + £7 + vat (non-account)

Trouble with Amazon marketplace is AFAIK you can’t combine shipping even if you’re buying two items from the same seller. But for odd one-offs it might be worth keeping on your list.

Wish I hadn’t wasted so much of my time but I never seem to learn.
    Mike.

Your time wasn’t wasted Mike and I have to say that using your part example my choice would be Masterpart. And I would order 5, 10 or maybe more as they are at a very good price for a part that fits an elderly range of m/c’s that are still very prolific out there.

My guess is than in the next year or two from now you won’t be able to buy one for love nor money. And all wholesalers will show……PART OBSOLETE. Either that or the price will be based on WHIRLPOOL’s cloud cuckoo price structure. 😉

Or maybe the market will be flooded and they’ll be as cheap as those “tennis rackets”. 😆
    Mike.
