Participant“Sir Timothy and Lady Sainsbury request the please of : Martin to call and repair their washing machine and dryer in the Laundry Room, a Dishwasher in the Housekeepers Quarters and a Washer Dryer in the Gardeners Cottage as they have been let down “terribly badly” by the manufacturers nationwide service agents……..!”
Nice one eh? I wonder if I can claim special NECTAR points as well?? ( will take my card along with my toolbox just in case)
Brings a new twist to the thread “2nd Appliance Rate” and no mistake.

To hell with the Nectar points, charge full fees for each one. If you buy four bottles of scotch in Sainsburys, you don’t get a reduction on the last three. Besides, this gentleman is the driving force behind the GM foods
fiasco.

Well no big shocking scandal came out of my visit to Sir Tim Sainsburys place I’m afraid. They got back from skiing in Colorado last Friday and phoned GIAS on Monday last. GIAS said they couldn’t get a man out ’til Friday March 18th. They had been using the machine in the Gardeners Cottage meanwhile then his machine went belly up!
The up-shot of it was that the ‘Housekeeper’ suggested to Lady S that they call me. Which Lady S did and I went out there today and solved all their problems, put my stickers all all the appliances on the estate (10 in all) and charged them a very reasonable £115.60, which they paid out of ‘The Housekeeping Account’.
Sir Tim and Lady S were out at The Cheltenham Festival, apparently they have 2 runners in this afternoons events…….lovely!

Cor! You should see their indoor pool and gymnasium, cut into the hillside, glass walls with terrific views across the valley….lovely too!
